Cinnamon : One Utama

Had a great farewell dinner with Ban Joo & Guo Rong at Cinnamon :D It's located inside One World Hotel, in One Utama. Definitely one of the best buffet I've ever had! As usual, they have a wide range of food and beverage variety like appetizers, salads, homemade soups, grills, Italian cuisine, Japanese cuisine and even local cuisine. You can also order a la carte from their menu.

Youtube Guru's

Morning people! :D Gosh you have no idea how happy I'm to be able to wake up early in the morning today. Finally seeing some sunlight. lol...Due to the holidays my sleep wake cycle is totally messed up. Sleep at 7am, wake up at 5pm and the cycle continues O_O Had some drinks last night, came home washed up then zzz already (for those who have insomnia should try that. worked for me! heh)

So, today I'm going to share about the many youtubers I constantly stalk :p It's nice to be able to watch and read about what others around the world do and what they have to share. Besides, they sometimes do give osm tips and reviews which is worth taking note.

Beauty Inspiration
When I first started using youtube, I stumbled upon Michelle Phan (I'm sure most of you guys already know who she is), a youtube 'beauty guru' who became extremely famous after her 'How to recreate Lady Gaga's look' went viral. She now even has her own make up line! I really look up to her as one of my favorite 'artist' in a way. I would say she's living any typical girl's dream life. Famous, gorgeous, making money out of doing what she loves, being sponsored, inspiring the world, travelling and not to mention her super hot handsome model boyfie Dom.

Not only Michelle, but her sister-in-law who is known as 'dope2111' is also another youtube sensation. She's an AMAZING makeup transformer! She shows her viewers how to look like a celebrity or a character using makeup. I was shocked to see how much she actually does look like Angelina Jolie, Adriana Grande and Bruno Mars! If you're running out of halloween ideas, definitely check her out (and yes, she does male transformation too! how cool is that right! :D)

Besides, I also always watch the 2 sisters - Elle & Blair. They talk about hauls, monthly favorites, fashion week, storage ideas and their makeup collection. They have also lately venture into creating their own makeup and perfume line which is incredible. Being just teens like us, I can't imagine that they have achieved so much and it all started from uploading videos on youtube. They've even published 2 books titled "Beneath the glitter" and  "Where Beauty Lies".

Oh and not to forget the DIY Queen Andrea :D I love her videos cause it's all about revamping and customizing what you already own (saves a lot of $$$). She teaches how to distress denim shorts, how to naturally lighten hair, make your own jewelry and even how to make your own face masks. Even though certain items you can't easily get in Malaysia, she still inspires me to be creative and stay creative! ^^

Life & Fitness Inspiration
I don't only watch beauty and fashion related vids but also those that talk about life and troubles and all the nasty issues we always face. One guru that is always true to herself and honest would be Jarmaine. She is hilarious and weird at times, but I think she's just a really nice person with a strong personality. She's also a great fitness motivator!

Kassie is also another gorgeous youtuber that I like to watch because she really does her homework and gives detailed explanation. I like watching her videos that are regarding diets, fitness or about happiness. Although she doesn't have many views unlike the aforementioned, she does give great tips and you'll feel educated after :)

And if you're looking for fitness motivation or workout tips, check out Blogilates! They use up-to-date songs and teach you osm routines that won't bore you but keep you sweating and sore. I've personally tried a few of their routines and wooshhh... burn baby burn! lol

Music Masters
TOO MANY talented people who can sing, dance, make music, make covers, produce mashups or even all of them. But these are the few that I really like :)

True & Funny
Okay, so I don't really know what I should categorize the other youtube channels under, but most of them produce short clips and talk about reality. If you want something funny and really Gen Y type, subscribe to them lah :)

*apparently Lee Hom was their long lost member! :O*

Really thankful for having youtube around. It's such a great platform for people to express themselves and inspire others with their personal experience and ideas. Maybe one day I shall start uploading vids too! Hahah joking la, noone would watch LOL! ;)

Book haul

If you know me, you know I don't read much 'girly' books. Not a fan of those dramatic high-life novels. I'd definitely prefer fiction books about forbidden romance, weird creatures and solving mysteries (which totally doesn't improve or increase my intelligence..it only feeds my imagination. but what's life without imagination RIGHT? lol) . Went to MPH and bought 5 books for myself to fill my time while I'm still on holiday. Only done reading one, but will probably finish reading all of them before next sem starts. Hehe ^^

*TADAAAAAA! See! got my name! Belle! :D*

SOMETHING STRANGE & DEADLY
"The dead are on her heels. Her life is on the line. And time is running out. After her father dies and her brother mysteriously goes missing, Eleanor Fitt is left to deal with her family's declining financial state. And with her controlling mother trying to marry her off, 16 yrs old Eleanor doesn't think could get more complicated. But that changes when the Dead starts walking. Desperate to solve the mystery of her brother's disappearance, she ventures into the private lab of the elusive Spirit-Hunters. Always a social misfit, Eleanor finally feels at home among the intelligent Joseph, fiesty Jie and extremely stubborn yet gorgeous Daniel."

BELLES
"Raised in a run-down house on the wrong side of the tracks in North Carolina, Isabelle Scott has always loved her less-than-charmed-life by the beach. But when the grandmother she lives with needs to move into a nursing home, a social worker places her with a politically prominent long-lost uncle and his preppy, privileged family. Unfortunately, inserting her into the glamorous lifestyle of Emerald Cove isn't going too well. Her cousin Mirabelle isn't thrilled to share her life with an outsider, and in addition to dealing with all the backstabbing that lurk beneath their classmate's Southern charm, a secret is unfolding that will change their lives forever."
Rm 31.90

*totally bought it cause the front cover looks pretty with my name on it. haha...
not my usual cup of tea but hope I'll have fun reading it!*

HALO
" Three angels are sent by Heaven to bring good to a world falling under the influence of darkness: Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer and Bethany, the youngest and most human. They work hard to conceal their luminous glow, their superhuman powers and their wings. Then Bethany meets Xavier woods, and the two are unable to resist their attraction to each other. But the angles' mission is urgent, and dark forces are threatening. Will love ruin Bethany or save her?"
 Rm33.90

HAGWITCH
Myth. Magic. Secrets. Theatre.

*that is exactly what is written behind where the summary of the book should be ._.
not even a sentence yet it seems pretty interesting to me!*
Rm 47.90

TOWERING
" I watch the birds fly below, the clouds float above, and the tall, green forest stretch to places I might never see. Mama, who isn't my mother, has kept me hidden away for many long years. My only companions, besides Mama, are my books - great adventures, mysteries and romances I long to make my reality. But I know that no one will come to my rescue. Recently, my hair has started to grow rapidly and it's now long enough to reach the bottom of  the tower from my window. I've also had the strangest dream of a beautiful green-eyed man. When Mama isn't around, I plan my escape, even if it's just for a little while. There's something - maybe someone - waiting for me on the other side."
Rm 39.90

So far I've only finish reading this book! It's not the usual Rapunzel story we all know about, but rather, there's an unexpected modern element to it. Wyatt (the gorgeous green-eyed man) was destined to find Rachel (her) and help her break the rhapsody curse (drugging issue in the town). I like how the author goes from one character's thought into another's so smoothly. There's also a mystery to what happened to Danielle (Rachel's birth mother) and who is actually 'Mama'. If you're a Disney fan like I'm, you'd like this book :)

That's all for today! Will update on my tour to Phuket!

Dim Sum Breakkie : SS2

Morning peeps! Today mommy, cousin Ivan & I decided to have early breakfast at Loong Seng restaurant. This restaurant has been around for as long as I can remember (around 20 years) and they specialize in dim sum. If you don't know what dim sum is, it's a type of Cantonese food prepared in small bite sized portion served on small plates or in the traditional steamer baskets. I've only tried dim sum at a few places but I really like the ones they sell here. At Loong Seng, they sell more than 35 types of dim sum such as siew mai, har gao, wu kok, chee cheong fun, loh mai kai, egg tart, dumplings, all types of pau, porridge and even logan tau fu fa dessert. The dim sum here is made by hand daily to ensure the quality and its freshness. They cater their dim sum to everyone everyday, starting from 5am up until 2pm. If you're looking for somewhere nice to have breakfast or brunch, do drop by! You won't regret! :D

Be early! It starts to get pretty packed around  9am

Just look at all the siew mai  O_O *drools*

My all time favorite! Must try!! wu kok
* Made from deep fried yam with meat pieces and peas filling

A great variety of pau
( kaya, custard, char siew, lin yong, pandan etc)

I'm not sure what the yellow ones are called
but they have century eggs inside!

I like to dip my dim sum in sweet sauce instead of chili ^^

Different types of deep fried yummies

Fu-chok

Do try the pan fried dumplings.
They're really good! :D
RM6

 char siew pau
*Tastes not bad, the amount of filling is proportionate with the size of the pau
and is served piping hot!

This is what it looks like inside. Simple hawker style.
They also have upstairs which is air conditioned for those who dislike the heat.
